This Interview includes THE STORY OF HOW she lost both breasts,  the road to recovery, a short message for men, WORD OF WISDOM for women, to be their own advocate, they know their bodies BEST, very little about the healing process. She shares a little on a decision she was ASKED TO MAKE to separate her family and its consequences that nearly destroyed her family, but for the Grace of God.

WOW! This flyer takes my mind way back to when it all began! It's when this gospel music ministry was BIRTHED in my heart! ALL OF BOTH breasts removed due to breast disease in 2009! It was a breast cancer SCARE! FOUR areas across both breast, three in the left breast (WHICH I INSISTED UPON HAVING EXAMINED SINCE THE ISSUE WAS IN THE RIGHT BREAST AND NOT THE LEFT), and one in the right breast! It all started with a BROWNISH nipple discharge that progressed to a BLOODY nipple discharge! ONE FAILED EXCISIONAL BIOPSY! FIVE total needle biopsies (one repeated)! On Pathology reports, NOT even ONE OF THE FOUR areas (which were confirmed with MRI because I insisted) were benign! NOT ONE! Bilateral mastectomy on Wednesday 8/31/2009, made it to church on Sunday, up three flight of stairs! Amen! That is just ONE of my many challenges! God has been good to me! YES! I'VE GOT SO MUCH TO THANK GOD FOR!

I believe what you heard about was that I wasn't feeling very well because I had surgery. It has been three months only, but it seems like a year if I go by my feelings and what I am able to do. 
 I had surgery 3 months ago- Bilateral Mastectomy because I was blessed to have found multiple areas of pre-cancer cells in both breast, a few years early before it could change into breast cancer. Thanks to God first, a  2 year old nipple discharge from my left breast, a lousy general surgeon, a patient radiologist and a very persistent, assertive and instinctive patient called Dahlene.

As a result, I did not have to do any further treatments such as chemotherapy or radiation because- there was no cancer. This was a blessing because this does not usually happen as it was only by the divine intervention of our good Lord.

He also gave us the strength to make the decision and go through everything so smoothly, confidently, filled with faith, courage and endurance. Thanks first to God, a very loving and caring husband and his family, a very prayerful and compassionate mother and her sister, five understanding and affectionate children, wonderful brothers and sisters and their families, and last but not the least, a powerful and prayerful spirit filled church we attend, that  is filled with very special men and women who showed they care in thoughts, words and deed.  

  
I cannot say I was, am or have been sick. God showed us something and we made the decison to have this extent of elective surgery as a preventive measure and His divine and speedy recovery has been upon me eversince. Wednesday 7/29/09 was surgery and 4 days later,on sunday 8/2/09 I was in church to GIVE GOD THE GLORY!!!!!!!!! I've been feeling better and better eversince ! Praise God. I have been made to look natural again and thanks to God first, a tactful surgeon, a skilled plastic surgeon and technology for wonderful saline implants. 
It's a long story how I found out about those precancer cells. Let's just say, TO GOD BE THE GLORY, GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE!!!!!!!!!! 
I strongly believe in this scripture, and it my favorite: proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lane not on thine own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
I just trusted God, and he directed me what to tell the Dr. to do, which led to finding those atypical and hyperplastic and dysplastic cells in my breasts.
